Note:
The erection of the Memorial was sponsored by David Scholtz, and unveiled by Brigadier Andy Mantell, the British Defence Advisor in April 2008. David Scholtz is to the right of Brigadier Mantell, in the photograph. The Cast Iron Cross was that which was originally found at the scene. The original farm buildings where the action took place were submerged when the Kalkfontein Dam was constructed.
